More clashes in India's Jammu and Kashmir state
There's been a clash between militants and Indian troops patrolling the border in Jammu-Kashmir state.
Five men from both sides were killed in the Surankote area near the border with Pakistan.
The site of the fighting is 220 kilometres northwest of Jammu, the winter capital of the state.
The army says the attacks have increased since the end of last November, when Indian forces declared a unilateral halt to offensive operations against militant groups.
The Islamic groups rejected the Indian cease-fire and vowed to increase attacks.
Three people were shot dead in separate incidents and seven paramilitary soldiers were injured in a grenade attack.
