Millions watch Bradman memorial service across India and Pakistan

Millions of people across India and Pakistan have watched the memorial service for the late Australian cricket, Sir Donald Bradman.

But, as Jonathan Harley reports, both cricketing nations are still forbidden by their political leaders to meet on the field.

Admiration for Sir Donald Bradman seems to be one of the few things India and Pakistan share in common at the moment. An estimated 100-million Indians and 10-million Pakistanis watched the live broadcast of the memorial service to Sir Donald. The Indian Sports Minister is expected to announce later today that India will not appear at the tri-series tournament against Pakistan and Sri Lanka next month. It'll be the fourth time in two years that India's refused to play senior level cricket against Pakistan amid heightened political tensions between the rival neighbours and building international pressure for them to resume high level talks.
