US diplomats hold second meeting with spyplane crew

US diplomats have held a second meeting with the crew of the American spyplane that's been on the ground for nearly a week in China.

But China has given no indication when it plans to release the 24 crew members.

Jane Hutcheon reports.

After a three-and-a-half hour delay, US officials were given access to the 24, detained since their emergency landing on Hainan Island last Sunday. US military attache, Brigadier General Neal Sealock thanked the Chinese Government for the access and told journalists the crew was in great spirits and looking forward to returning home. A Chinese official then repeated the call for a US apology. The US spy plane landed in Hainan on Sunday after colliding with a Chinese fighter. The pilot is missing and presumed dead=.
