China sentences four to death over Shijiazhuang bombings

A court in China has sentenced four people to death in connection with a string of bombings in the central industrial city Shijiazhuang.

One hundred-and-eight people died in the blasts..

Jin Ruchao, the man accused of carrying out the March the 16th bombings, is said to have told the court he acted alone, and was trying to take revenge against his relatives, former wife and others with whom had feuded.

The other three before the court were charged with supplying explosives and detonators.

Officials say all four immediately appealed against the verdicts.
