Curfew re-imposed in India's Manipur state
In India's northeastern state of Manipur, a curfew has been reimposed following reports of fresh protests against a government ceasefire with local rebels.
The capital Imphal has had a dusk-to-dawn curfew for the last ten days after thousands of protestors went on a rampage, setting fire to political party offices. Thirteen people have been killed and more than 50 wounded. Demonstrators are protesting against New Delhi's extension of a ceasefire with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland. They say they fear the government might be considering giving land from the four neighbouring states to create a homeland for the Naga tribes people.
