Indonesian President urged not to meet with Australia's PM

A senior member of the Indonesian government has urged his President not to meet with Australian Prime Minister John Howard at APEC over what he calls interference in Indonesia's domestic affairs.

Mr Howard took Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri to task earlier this week over comments in which she described the U-S attack on Afghanistan as unacceptable.

However the Chair of Indonesia's parliamentary committee on migration, defence and security, Yasrilananta Baharuddin,
has defended his country's stance on terrorism.

Why he make a comment to our policy? United States itself and let's say United Kingdom doesn't make any statement with our President comment, because our position is very clear, that we co-operate together collectively with other countries against the terrorism.
