Six people killed in blast in India

At least six people including two military officials have been killed in a blast at a defence research centre near the western Indian city of Pune.

Police say the accidental explosion occurred at the state-owned High Energy Materials Research Laboratory because of a fire in its propellant processing unit.

The four other victims were workers who were helping the two killed researchers in an unspecified military project.
