Man arrested after attempted hijacking of China plane
In China, a man has been arrested after allegedly trying to hijack a domestic Chinese flight carrying about 100 passengers and crew.
Police say the man, armed with a knife, claimed there were explosives on the Xiamen Airlines flight.
However the man did not demand that the plane change its destination.
Police have also arrested a woman in Xiamen who is suspected of being an accomplice.
An investigation is now underway into the incident.
China's aviation industry is already reeling from two crashes in the past month that have claimed 241 lives.
