Australian pilots given clearance to leave India Two Australian pilots grounded in India, for almost two weeks have finally been given clearance to leave after arriving without proper permission. Operators of the now defunct Wyalla Airlines, Kim and Chris Brougham, are on their way to London for the Centennary of Federation Air Race to Sydney. But the brothers' plans got stuck when they flew into Indian airspace from Thailand without a landing permit 11-days ago. They say it was an honest mistake and since then have been tangled in the Indian bureaucracy, waiting for permission to leave from a number of departments. With their clearance number in hand they're stopping over in Mumbai before finalising their new schedule onto London in the hope to make the start of the race late next week. 2/03/01 14:37:34 | ABC Radio Australia News
