Clinton joins fundraisers for India earthquake relief

Former United States President, Bill Clinton, has made his first major public appearance since George W Bush took over the White House, at a fund-raiser in California for victims of the earthquake in India.

Mr Clinton joined rap artist M.C. Hammer on stage in an attempt to raise more than four-million dollars for earthquake relief.

I HAD NOT INTENDED TO GET INVOLVED IN ANY SORT OF ACTIVITY FOR PROBABLY THREE OR FOUR OR FIVE MONTHS AFTER I LEFT THE WHITEHOUSE. BUT NATURE INTERVENED WITH THIS UNBELIEVABLE CALAMITY IN INDIA.
