Medium tremor rocks ravaged Indian state of Gujarat
A tremor measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale has rocked the quake-ravaged Indian state of Gujarat.
A local meterological department official says the quake was felt in parts of Gujarat and lasted nine seconds.
Its epicentre was located 100 kilometres from Bhuj -- one of the towns worst hit by the 7.9 magnitude quake which struck on January 26th, killing about 25-thousand people and leaving some one-and-a-quarter million homeless.
People living in multi-storey buildings ran out in panic after the quake struck, but there was no reports of damage to life or property.
Meanwhile, an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale also shook India's northeastern region and parts of neighbouring Burma.
