Indonesian police investigate killing of NZ peacekeeper
An Indonesian police team will leave for East Timor next week to question witnesses to the murder of a New Zealand peacekeeper.
Police say the group's investigation will also take them to New Zealand.
Leonard Manning, who served with the U-N preacekeeping force in East Timor, was shot and his body mutilated in July last year. New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark has called on Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid to ensure the killer is brought to justice.
The murder suspect is in police custody in Kupang, but is yet to be brought to trial.
