Indonesia's military ready to enforce government ban on refugee ship

Indonesia's military says it's ready to enforce a government ban on the Norwegian ship carrying hundreds of refugees, from entering the nation's waters.

Indonesia's armed forces spokesman, Rear Marshal Graito Usodo says if the ship leaves Australia and sails to Indonesia, the navy will take action.

He says the Indonesian government position is clear, and it won't allow what he called these illegal migrants into the country.

Marshal Usodo says the military is ready to take any measures to ensure the government is able to carry out this policy.
