Bus crash in Indonesia kills 10, injures 17

A crowded bus has collided with a car and plunged into a ravine on Indonesia's island of Java, killing 10 people.

The Antara news agency says at least 17 were seriously injured in the accident about 100 kilometres south of Jakarta.

Local police officials say witnesses have told them that the driver lost control after the bus's brakes failed.

The driver was among the dead.
