Indonesia's president visits world's last Cold War frontier
Indonesia's President, Megawati Sukarnoputri, has visited the world's last Cold War frontier after talks with South and North Korean leaders over how to resume stalled inter-Korean talks.
Megawati drove past mine fields to scan Panmunjom, a truce village in the middle of the the four-kilometer-wide demilitarized zone which divides the Korean peninsula.
Panmunjom is the only contact point between the two Koreas, which have been technically at war since their conflict in the early 1950s.
Megawati was closely watched by North Korean border quards with binoculars during her inspection of the truce village.
The trip followed Megawati's talks last week with North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Il, in Pyongyang and South Korean President, Kim Dae-Jung in Seoul.
