India and China to begin talks on international terrorism

India and China will today begin their first-ever dialogue on international terrorism.

The high-level talks will form part of the operations of the newly-constituted India-China working group on terrorism.

The group was formed after the visit to India this year of Chinese Prime Minister Zhu Rongji.

The two sides will review the progress made by the international community in fighting terrorism in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States.
