Al Qaeda links to Pakistan car bomb

Pakistan says it has the evidence it needs to find the people responsible for this week's car-bomb attack in Karachi which killed 14-people .. mostly French nationals.

Police say they've detained more than 100 members of extremist groups with suspected links to the al-Qaeda terrorist network.

Pakistan's Information Minister, Nisar Menom, also says while the car used in the bomb attack was totally destroyed, the number plate has been recovered intact.

"We have all the records of the vehicles that are registered in Karachi. They are on computer and this has led us to the ownership and the movement of the purchasers of this vehicle and that is going to be the major evidence that will lead us to the culprit."
