India says it's not impressed with Pakistan's missile test plans

The Indian government says it's not impressed by Pakistan's announcement it will conduct short and medium range missile tests over the next few days.

While accepting the tests are routine and not related to the current tensions, Indian government spokeswoman Nirupama Rao says her country's patience is wearing thin.

Ms Rao says the government of Pakistan should instead do more to stop cross-border infiltration and terrorism in Kashmir.

To dismantle the camps for terrorists, to destroy the support and financing structures for the terrorists networks and to show conclusively that it has abandoned its use and promotion of terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
