US frustration over plane detained in China The United States administration continues to be frustrated over the unresolved negotiations over the crew of the US spy plane being held in China, with President George W. Bush suggesting something must happen soon. US President George Bush says diplomacy takes time, but as he met with his cabinet this morning, he also took up the administrations new line, that the delay is becoming dangerous. 'The longer it goes, there's a point at which our relations with China could become damaged.' The White House says it still hopes a resolution will follow soon. On Hainan island this morning US officials held their fourth meeting with the crew of the damaged surveillance plane, reporting afterwards that all were in high spirits and being treated well. 10/04/01 11:06:18 | ABC Radio Australia News
