Indon foreign minister to visit Aus & NZ
Indonesia's Foreign Minister Hassan Wirayuda will visit Australia and New Zealand this week.
A foreign ministry official says the visits, from the 28th of November until the first of December, are intended to strengthen relations and cooperation in the West Pacific region.
The Minister is due to hold talks with foreign ministers in both countries.
The foreign ministry says he will discuss efforts to curb people-smuggling and other issues with Australia's foreign minister Alexander Downer.
Relations between Australia and Indonesia became strained in August over Canberra's tough new policy of turning away Middle Eastern asylum-seekers, many of whom set off from Indonesia.
