Maoists blow roof off Coca Cola factory in Kathmandu

In Nepal, Maoist rebels have blown the roof off a Coca-Cola factory in Kathmandu, in their first attack on the capital since a state of emergency was declared earlier this week.

The blast took place in the early morning and while no-one was injured, the 50-million dollar plant was badly damaged.

Nepal's Minister for Home Affairs says at least five of the rebels involved were arrested at a bus terminal near the factory, still carrying guns and explosives.
