New Afghan leader expected to meet with his cabinet

New Afghan leader Hamid Karzai is expected to meet with his cabinet later today after formally taking power with a promise to end two decades of strife in his nation.

The Pashtun tribal elder and his 29-member cabinet were sworn in at an historic ceremony in Kabul.

Meanwhile, Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf says he thinks there's a great possibility Osama bin Laden is dead.

Speaking on Chinese television during his current tour of China, General Musharraf says he's reasonably sure bin Laden hasn't crossed into Pakistan, where the Pakistani Army is guarding all the mountain passes between Tora Bora and Pakistan.

General Musharraf says there's a good chance bin Laden has been killed.

Maybe he is dead, because all the operation that had been conducted, the bombardment of all the caves that have been conducted. There is a great possibility that he may have lost his life there.
