South Korean fishing ship sinks off Japan

A South Korean crab fishing boat has sunk near Japan. All 10 crew members were rescued by Japanese coastguards.

The 69-ton 27 Nam Young sank for an unspecified reason about 650 kilometres west of Tokyo.

The accident comes just three days after another South Korean fishing boat capsized in heavy seas off Tsushima Island in the Sea of Japan.

Japanese coastguards found two bodies, another six crew members are still missing.
