Mob burns three men to death in West Java

In Indonesia, an angry mob in the West Java town of Tasikmalay has burned to death three men who had allegedly been extorting money from local transport operators.

Witnesses say the three had arrived in a car with another man and had been demanding so-called "security money" from bus and public transport operators before a crowd gave chase.

After assaulting the alleged extorters, the crowd threw kerosene on the men, and set them, and their car on fire.

The fourth man escaped but was later caught by police.

No arrests have been made over the incident but police have launched an investigation.
