Vietnam to open central highlands to foreign media
Vietnam says it is to allow foreign journalists into the troubled central highlands.
It'll be the second time the media have been permitted into the region since the army quelled protests by minority hill tribes early last year
The Foreign Ministry in Hanoi says journalists will be allowed to visit minority villages and talk with villagers, as well meet provincial officials.
It says the four-day escorted tour will take in the highland provinces of Dak Lak and Gia Lai and has been tentatively scheduled for February 18.
