China to place police officers on all Chinese planes

Chinese authorities say police will be placed on all Chinese planes in a bid to prevent terrorist attacks.

The General Administration of Civil Aviation of China says it will recruit about two-thousand police to provide security on all domestic and international flights.

China says the increased security measures come amid heightened global aviation fears following last year's terrorist attacks on the United States.
