Pakistan President vows to track down killers of US journalist

Pakistan's President, Pervez Musharraf, has pledged that his government will track down those responsible for the killing of kidnapped U-S journalist Daniel Pearl.

President Musharraf says he has directed the government of Sindh province, where Mr Pearl was snatched a month ago in the port city of Karachi, to catch the terrorists.

He expressed his condolences to the reporter's family and his editors at The Wall Street Journal.

U-S officials have angrily denounced the killing of the Bombay-based correspondent by suspected Islamic militants.

American President, George W-Bush, deplored the death as criminal and barbaric.
