Indonesia, Australia, East Timor to hold talks on East Timor
Indonesia, Australia and East Timor are to have their first joint talks on the future and security of an independent East Timor.
The trilateral conference is being held in Bali ahead of a regional people smuggling conference later in the week.
The three three-way conference involves the Foreign Ministers of Indonesia and Australia, along with East Timor's Chief minister and Foreign Minister and the United Nations administrator in Dili.
Australia's Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, who arrives in Bali today, says the key to East Timor's future security is the relationship it can build with its two neighbours.
