Wife and daughter of US diplomat killed in grenade attack on church
Reports from Pakistan say the wife and daughter of a United States diplomat to Islamabad have been killed in a grenade attack on a church in the capital.
Police say the injured included Sri Lanka's ambassador to Pakistan, his wife and child.
A total of five people died in the attack, including three foreigners and a Pakistani woman.
A medical officer at Islamabad's Polyclinic Hospital says another 20 people have been admitted to the hospital, including six foreigners in a critical condition.
The police say 45 people were injured when four grenades were thrown into the Protestant International Church, where up to 70 worshippers, including many foreigners, were attending prayer services.
The church is close to the United States Embassy in Islamabad.
