Christians clash in Indonesia's Maluku Islands, three dead

At least three people have been killed and 12 others injured in a clash between Christian villagers in Indonesia's eastern Maluku islands.

Indonesia's official Antara newsagency says the deaths occurred as a result of a clash between residents of two villages, but said it was not related to the three years of Christian-Muslim violence.

The violence follows a bomb blast last week in the main city of Ambon that killed four people and cast a cloud over a landmark peace pact aimed at ending religious violence in the Malukus.
