Indonesian attorney general hospitalised
Indonesia's new attorney general Baharuddin Lopa is being treated for heart problems at a hospital in Saudi Arabia.
It is not clear how long he has been in hospital, or the extent of his heart problems.
But, a presidential spokesman says Mr Lopa's duties have been taken over by his deputy, Suparman.
Mr Lopa, who was appointed last month, has reopened a number of high-profile corruption cases that his predecessor, Marzuki Darusman, had closed citing lack of evidence.
Mr Lopa has also announced that he's seeking new ways to bring former president Suharto to court on corruption charges.
Among the reopened cases are several against two political foes of embattled President Abdurrahman Wahid -- parliament speaker Akbar Tanjung and a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, Arifin Panigoro.
He's also reopened corruption cases involving three business tycoons, who had been seen by many as being protected by President Wahid.
