Indonesia's new Attorney-general dies

Indonesia's Attorney-General has died from suspected heart failure in a hospital in Saudi Arabia.

Ginny Stein reports Baharuddin Lopa had travelled to Riyadh to hand over his post as Indonesian ambassador to his successor.

Sixty-six-year-old Baharuddin Lopa was only appointed to the post of Attorney General last month. His appointment was highly regarded in his few weeks in office he had re-opened a number of high profile corruption cases that his successor, Mazuki Dharusman had closed. He had also announced that he was seeking new avenues to bring former President Suharto to court on corruption charges. Despite an earlier court ruling that he could not be tried on the grounds of ill-health. Ginny Stein, Jakarta
