Cambodia garment export quota to US increased

Cambodia's garment export quota to the United States market has been increased by 15 percent, largely because of improvements in factory working conditions.

Cambodia's commerce minister Cham Prasidh has signed a three-year renewal of an existing textile agreement with America's Ambassador to Cambodia, Kent Wiedemann.

Cham Prasidh says a six percent hike from base export levels of garments was supplemented with a nine percent bonus for improvements in working conditions.
