There's been a slump in Malaysia's rubber exports
Malaysia's rubber exports slumped 16.1 percent by the end of last year.
Natural rubber exports dropped as well as production and there has been a reduction in the number of people employed in Malaysia's rubber estates.
Malaysia is the world's third largest rubber producer after Thailand and Indonesia.
The three countries agreed in December to form the International Tripartite Rubber Organization to combat oversupply and continuing low prices by cutting production.
