US and

The Presidents of the United States and South Korea are holding a summit, likely to be dominated by talks on North Korea.

Presidents Kim Dae-Jung and George W-Bush are meeting in the South Korean capital, Seoul.

North Asia correspondent Mark Simkin reports that the talks are expected to be dominated by the thorny issue of relations with North Korea:

"Kim Dae-Jung has been pursuing a "sunshine policy" of increased engagement with North Korea. George Bush on the other hand has described the North as part of an "axis of evil", determined to develop weapons of mass destruction. That hardline approach has upset many in the South, who believe it has increased tensions on the peninsula. Several demonstrations have been held in Seoul to protest Mr Bush's arrival and a government lawmaker has denounced him as "evil in carnate."
