Group of 25 North Koreans enters Spanish embassy in Beijing

A group of 25 North Koreans has entered the Spanish embassy in the Chinese capital, Beijing, seeking refuge.

The group of 14 adults and 11 children pushed their way past guards outside the embassy, as China correspondent Tom O'Byrne reports:

"Beijing police and embassy guards say the group rushed through the gates mid-morning local time. The entire area surrounding the Spanish embassy remains cordonned off and Chinese security has been doubled at other embassies amid fears there may be more asylum bids. There's been no comment from the Spanish government or from the United Nations High Commision for Refugees. But, a statement from Japanese relief agency quoted the group as saying they were escaping persecution in North Korea.
