Four suspected militants arrested near New Delhi

Four suspected militants belonging to the pro-Pakistan Lashkar-e-Taiba group have been arrested near the Indian capital.

Police said the four men, who have not yet been identified, were picked up from Hapur city, 60 kilometres from New Delhi, following an intelligence tip off.

Police said the four were on their way to the capital to carry out some kind of "operation".

Lashkar, a militant group fighting Indian rule in Kashmir, is one of two organisations India blames for an attack on its parliament in New Delhi on December 13, which left 14 people dead.
