Trial of 11 suspects in US journalist abduction case
The trial of 11 suspects charged with the abduction and murder of American journalist Daniel Pearl, will begin on April the 5th inside a Pakistani prison.
The chief prosecutor made the announcement after submitting the final charge sheets to a Karachi anti-terrorism court.
He says the government has decided that the trial should be held inside the prison because of security reaons.
A British-born Pakistani militant Sheikh Omar and Sheikh Adil, one of three men accused of sending e-mails containing photos of the Wall Street Journal correspondent in custody and threats to kill him, appeared under heavy security at Friday's brief hearing.
Some 200 police were stationed outside.
