China's spaceship returns to earth
The capsule from China's third unmanned spaceship, Shenzhou-three, has landed successfully in Inner Mongolia after orbiting the globe 108 times.
The Xinhua newsagency says the launch and return of the craft has laid a foundation for China's plans to eventually send men into space.
A set of dummy astronauts and life simulation and monitoring devices were aboard the craft, which officials say was "technically suitable for astronauts".
President Jiang Zemin hailed Shenzhou-three's successful launch on the 25th of March as a "new milestone" for China.
