Thailand and Australia release a report of a bilateral trade agreement
Thailand and Australia have released a report on the benefits of a bilateral free trade agreement -- set at 58-BILLION dollars over two decades.
The study says that over twenty years, a free trade deal would boost Australia's economy by 12-BILLION dollars, and Thailand by 46-BILLION dollars.
The report was prepared by Australian and Thai officials at the request of both governments.
It says Australia would lift sales to Thailand of dairy products, pharmaceuticals, aluminium and cars.
The study says Australia and Thailand should start negotiations to establish a bilateral free trade agreement.
