Thai Airways Boeing 737 bursts into flames
Thai police say at least one person was killed and two others were injured when a Thai Airways Boeing 737 burst into flames on the tarmac of Bangkok's international airport.
Police said the body of one crew member had been found in the wreckage, while four people were injured and had been rushed to a nearby hospital.
The plane was scheduled to carry Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to the northern city of Chiang Mai.
The airline said the prime minister had not boarded the flight when the fire broke out.
The cause of the explosion was not known but local radio reports said it occurred when the plane was being fuelled.
