Thai police release more details of aircraft bombing
Thai police have confirmed the weekend bomb that gutted a Thai Airways jet was directed at Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and other members of his administration.
The bomb exploded minutes before the prime minister was due to board the plane at Bangkok airport.
Police also said the bombing was carried out by an explosives expert and may also have been the result of an internal dispute within one of Thailand's aviation organisations.
They said the bomb went off in a locked compartment in the aircraft to which only two authorised people could get access.
One crew member was killed and seven airline staff were injured in the explosion and ensuing fire.
