UN chief meets China president
United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Mary Robinson has met Chinese President Jiang Zemin in Beijing on the second day of her visit to China.
Mrs Robinson and President Jiang are expected to discuss human rights issues, the continued use of torture in China and the treatment of minorities in Tibet.
Mrs Robinson has already warned Chinese authorities that the current international coalition against terrorism cannot be used as an excuse to stamp out peaceful dissent. It's Mrs Robinson sixth visit to China.
