Vietnamese President ends Cambodian visit

Vietnamese President Tran Duc Luong has concluded a three-day visit to Cambodia where he met national leaders, but failed to resolve problems on their shared border.

The Cambodian Foreign Ministery says they forged three agreements, one of them covering the promotion and protection of investments and another border trade cooperation.

The third is a memorandum of understanding on improving cooperation between foreign ministries.

Border conflicts were not focused on during the talks, but the issue will be discussed in future meetings.

Vietnam occupied Cambodia for ten years after its troops ousted the Khmer Rouge in 1979.
