Vietnam parliament to grill ministers during donors' meeting
Vietnam's communist-dominated parliament is to quiz government ministers later this week during an annual review meeting of international donors.
The question and answer sessions, which are to be broadcast live by state television, will coincide with the Vietnam Consultative Group Meeting in Hanoi.
National Assembly staff are still sifting through the questions submitted by M-Ps and finalizing the list of ministers who will be invited to appear.
In all, up to nine ministers are expected to appear before M-Ps.
The A-F-P newsagency says authorities have come under increasing pressure from international donors to do more to promote good governance by establishing a clearer separation of powers between the government and legislature.
