South Korea grounds main jet fighters
South Korea has grounded most of its main jet fighters for more than a month amid serious security concerns.
Military authorities in Seoul say the suspension of flights by the KF-16 was ordered on February 16th after an investigation was launched into the crash of one of the planes.
It was the third KF-16 crash since South Korean firms completed delivery of 120 of the aircraft in 2000, under the first stage of the country's fighter development program.
The KF-16, assembled with U-S technology and parts, makes up the core of South Korea's air force flights.
