Three deputies of China's parliament ousted for alleged corruption
Three deputies of China's parliament, the National People's Congress, have been ousted for alleged corruption and fraud.
The three were removed from their seats, according to an announcement issued by the NPC Standing Committee.
One was suspected of providing fake accounts the others were suspected of corruption.
The report did not say whether the three would face criminal prosecutions. China's government has waged a long battle against corruption, recognising it as one of the social problems that alienates the general population most profoundly from the ruling communist party.
