Indonesian government to take steps against terrorists
The Indonesian government is considering whether it will freeze any assets proved to be owned by terrorist groups in the country.
The Information Minister, says the State Intelligence Agency is studying a list from overseas of suspected terrorist groups.
He says the government will work with the central bank, Bank Indonesia, but there should be strong enough evidence before an account can be frozen.
The move is in line with Indonesia's commitment to fight terrorism and support the UN resolution on terrorism.
