Dalai Lama accuses China of cultural genocide
Tibet's exiled spiritual, the Dalai Lama, say the human rights situation there is getting worse and worse.
He says that despite efforts to enter into a dialogue with China the Tibetan leadership can't see any other solution than to call on the international community for help.
He accused China of carrying out a cultural genocide in Tibet, but added that he believes all totalitarian regimes, whether communist or not, can't survive in the long term.
The Dalain Lama says he hopes relations between Beijing and his homeland can improve, pointing to what he called positive changes in China in recent years.
