Indon President, NT Chief Minister to meet on Monday

Meanwhile, the Government of Australia's Northern Territory has confirmed the Chief Minister Clare Martin will meet Indonesia's President Megawati Sukarno-Putri when she visits Jakarta on Monday.

The Chief Minister says she'll use the meeting to re-commit to a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Indonesian and Territory governments 10 years ago.

Ms Martin says she also intends to talk business with Mrs Megawati and other Ministers from the Indonesian Government.

"She is I'm sure very aware of the trade and support between teh Territory and Indonesia and the strong business and community links there are and that is despite difficult times over the last few years. I am positive that she is looking to grow links with Australia and specifically the Territory. "
